Overview
I primarily use Red Hat Linux (RHEL4 and RHEL5) at work and either OS-X or Ubuntu at home. Part of my job is writing reference implementations of various capabilities for the large development toolkit we support. I generally have to make these applications or libraries build and run on Linux, Solaris, and Windows. My preferred development environment is Linux. I have a long history with Solaris and HP-UX but I much prefer Linux (in its current state) to these other UNIX-like systems.
I’ll be putting tips and tricks and recommended software up here when I can remember to do it.
