Our Current Favorites

Here, we list our favorite online videos. This list is subject to change, of course, and videos dropped from here will likely be moved to another page in this section.

The Submarines

Chris just loves The Submarines. Everything from the story of how they got together to their lyrics and joyful performances, to the fact that they are with a new generation record company, makes him feel good inside.

You, Me, and the Bourgeoisie – Just listen to the lyrics.

Peace & Hate – This is just a wonderful song. The two vocalists are lovers and that comes through in both the lyrics and their performance.

Sheryl Crow

Chris likes Sheryl Crow. Some of her music really speaks to the way he thinks you should approach life. Not that he approaches life that way … but it’s good to have ideals. Sheryl is represented by Universal Music, so you can’t embed her videos.

Soak Up the Sun – Not at all suitable for Chris’ personality, but it’s just so light and fun, like he wishes he could be.

If It Makes You Happy – This one just speaks to Chris.

Colbie Caillat

We only know one song by Colbie, but it’s a wonderful introduction to her. Colbie is represented by Universal Music, so you can’t embed her videos.

Bubbly – How can you not like this song? Well, maybe Kim Jong-il or Dick Cheney could dislike it, but not a healthy, sane person.

Katy Perry

Katy is sexy and has a nice set of pipes too. She likes to sing about stuff men like. She used to be a conservative Christian singer. What a change! One more freed from the dominion of the shadow god. In spite of the evangelical base in this country, I think we might just be turning the corner on the way to a properly secular nation. Katy’s mainstream record company prevents us from embedding the video.

I Kissed a Girl – A little lesbian experimentation. One of a man’s favorite things to think about.
